FINAL ON-CAMPUS MEETING OF THE CREATION

SCIENCE FELLOWSHIP OF CALVARY CHAPEL

COSTA MESA

On the 18th Anniversary of our first meeting in October, 2002, we showed the spectacular new movie, THE RIOT AND THE DANCE - WATER, ( <<< Click to watch the trailer), featuring Dr. Gordon Wilson. This was our first on-campus meeting since the state-ordered shutdown of the church 7 months ago. Sadly, due to church financial difficulties, and the added expense of a new requirement that the auditorium must be sterilized after each use, the Board of CCCM has determined that certain "non-core" ministries, including the Creation Science Fellowship, shall be closed permanently. So this was the final on-campus meeting of the Creation Science Fellowship of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa.

We currently plan to continue meeting by ZOOM at 7:30pm the first and third Saturday of each month, until such a time as the Lord provides a new place to meet.

Please check this website often. Closing the Creation Science Fellowship also means we will be changing the name and address of our website at some point in the next 6 months.

Dr. Joseph Kezele, M.D., gave a significantly updated presentation titled, "AMBER AND HONEY".

About our speaker: Joseph Kezele studied the sciences and music at the University of Arizona, while earning his B.A. in Russian in 1971, and his M.D. in 1975. He then completed a Pediatric Residency and practiced Emergency Medicine for 25 years in the Phoenix area, and was a diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine and fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He is now retired from the practice of medicine, serves as President of the Arizona Origin Science Association, is Adjunct Professor at Arizona Christian University in Phoenix, teaching Human Genetics, Cell and Molecular Biology, Pathophysiology, Organic Chemistry and Creation Science Apologetics. Dr, Kezele has also been named a Logos Research Associate. He serves as Chairman of Deacons and teaches Creation Science Evangelism at Black Mountain Baptist Church in Cave Creek, Arizona. He has participated in over 21 foreign mission trips, teaching medicine, standard evangelism and creation science evangelism in India, Zambia, Mexico, Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, the Ukraine, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Armenia. Dr. Kezele is one of the principle presenters in the Institute for Creation Research’s 4 DVD series Made in His Image. Last year, he returned to the Ukraine for three intense weeks of teaching Creation Science Apologetics and Evangelism as part of the activities prompted by the proclamation of the President of the Ukraine recognizing the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther's sparking the Reformation in Germany.

Thomas Kindell, M.A. (Biblical Studies), D.Ph.Th., gave a presentation titled, "THE NANOMETRIC MACHINES OF LIFE."

All living creatures depend on molecular machines to perform crucial life functions. Yet, science shows that machines never arise except by Intelligent Design. God's superior machines point to His superior Intelligence.

About our speaker: Dr. Thomas Kindell was once an ardent believer in the “fact” of evolution. However, through his exposure to the scientific case for creation, he became a zealous creationist. He received advanced training in scientific creationism through the Graduate School of the Institute for Creation Research, then in Santee, California. He has been privileged to study under several of the world's most prominent creationist scientists. He also has studied Christian Apologetics and Biblical-Scientific Creationism at California Graduate School of Theology where he received his M.A. in Biblical Studies. He holds a Doctorate in Philosophy of Theology (major in philosophy of Biblical apologetics.)Dr. Kindell is the founder and president of Reasons for Faith Ministries, Inc., a non-profit ministry dedicated to equipping Christian believers to “give every man an answer” for their Biblical faith. For over 30 years he has engaged in a traveling teaching ministry lecturing on Biblical apologetics and the scientific case for creation.

He is an ordained Calvary Chapel pastor devoted to full-time teaching of Creation-Science apologetics.

Dr. Kindell has successfully debated the scientific case for creation against notable evolutionists on high school and college campuses, radio, and television. He is a frequent guest on the radio series “Science, Scripture & Salvation” which is produced by the Institute for Creation Research. He is the author of the acclaimed book, “Evolution on Trial.”

He is a member of the Oregon Design Science Association and is a lifetime sustaining member of the Creation Research Society.

Dr. Kindell’s creation‑science seminar has been repeatedly acclaimed as one of the very best in the nation and was enthusiastically endorsed by the late Dr. Duane T. Gish, Senior Vice‑President Emeritus of the Institute for Creation Research.

In the wake of the CCP Virus, our meetings at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa have been temporarily suspended. For the last several months, the Creation Science Fellowship has been meeting at our usual times (7:30 P.M., 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month) over the Internet via ZOOM.

Kurt Wise is director of the Center for Creation Research and Professor of Natural History at Truett McConnell University in Cleveland, Georgia. Trained as an invertebrate paleontologist (B.A., University of Chicago; M.A. & Ph.D., Harvard University), Kurt Wise previously taught at Bryan College and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Unlike the vast percentage of his fellow scientists, Kurt is a young-age creationist, trusting God’s word to conclude that the universe was created by God only about 6,000 years ago. Kurt has been engaged in young-age creation research in biology, geology, and paleontology for more than a quarter century. On these subjects he has authored or co-authored several dozen professional papers, scores of shorter professional articles, and numerous lay publications, including two books, Faith, Form and Time and Something From Nothing. Kurt is currently developing a college conceptual biology textbook.
Kurt has been featured in a number of publications about creationism, including Ron Numbers’ history, The Creationists. In professional creationism, he was one of the founding board members of both the Creation Biology Society and the Creation Geology Society. In the presentation of creationism to the church, he contributed the scientific content for the Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky and for the Genesis 1-11 portion of the second edition (1999-2014) of Precepts Ministries’ Genesis Bible study.

Kurt is a dynamic speaker. He was a favored lecturer on the subject of a Christian worldview of science at Summit Ministries camps for fifteen years and a popular workshop leader on the subject of leadership at AWANA conferences for more than a quarter century. For more than three decades, Kurt has spoken in churches on the subject of creationism.
Kurt and his wife Marie live in Cleveland, Georgia. Having served together for thirty years in AWANA Clubs in Massachusetts, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Georgia, Kurt and Marie currently serve in the choir at Friendship Baptist Church in Cleveland, Georgia. The Wises have two married daughters and three grandchildren.

Due to technical difficulties, we were unable to bring a live presentation of Dr. Kezele's advertised program on Carbon 14. Consequently, we resorted to a back-up plan, and showed a YouTube of a previous lecture Dr. Kezele had given us titled, "THE PERFECTLY PROVIDING PLACENTA." This was new for some of our audience. For others it was a good refresher course, their having seen the lecture in person nearly 10 years ago, on August 7, 2010.

DUE TO the state's Covid-19 moratorium on public meetings, we conducted this meeting by ZOOM video teleconferece. We watched a number of video-recorded personal testimonies of both Jews and Muslims who had found Jesus is the Messiah. Most of these testimonies were are on the website, One For Israel (www.oneforisrael.org).
