Pat Roy showed and discussed a DVD titled, "FAITH ON THE EDGE _ Exploring the biblical & scientific case against a flat earth."

​Surprisingly, the myth of a Flat Earth is growing in popularity. Worse, an increasing number Christians are falling for its fallacious arguments !

Pat Roy of Creation Quest, and co-host of The Creation Guys, will show a DVD detailing the history of Flat Earthism, and illustrating both scriptural and scientific evidence that the earth is round.  Following the DVD, Pat will host a lively round of Q&A with the audience.

About our speaker -  Winner  of the Creation Hall of Fame Gish-Morris-Whitcomb Award for the year 2015  is Patrick Roy, radio personality and media director, for his unstinting advocacy of the creation message in mass media.

Patrick Roy was the Director of Broadcast and Radio for 12 years with Institute for Creation Research and was very instrumental in the program: Science Scripture and Salvation, by Dr. John Morris.

Patrick Roy found himself behind the pulpit in churches presenting ICR and the need for Creation to be taught and heard and during this time, Pat and his wife, Sandy, would have parents asking for material for their children to learn and really did not have child oriented content. So in 2000, Pat and Sandy Began Jonathan Park Creation Radio Dramas: Writing, directing, and producing, Jonathan Park Creation Adventures for 15 years. (2015) Which requires a lot of scientific research and connections with scientists all over the world!Beginning to see the need for lessons geared to children about creation, Pat also began writing booklets to go along with their audio series with games and experiments. He also taught many presentations, hosted Creation oriented camps and cavern tours, thus beginning Creation Quest. And Creation Worldview Classes.
During this process on the side, he also enjoys interviewing young people with the Evolution/Creation issue.

Pat’s experience in audio media has opened doors of blessing for others as he would travel far distances to help start or mentor other Christian Organizations launch Radio Ministries, and has written multiple Scripts and stories to further the Creation and Salvation message for many different ministries and Creation Organizations.

Currently, Pat and Sandy Roy continue to further the Creation message through lessons, presentations, and interviews. They also hope to begin a new Creation Drama to further reach young people for Christ.

Meanwhile, Pat works for Dr. Biddle with Genesis Apologetics working with highschool students and providing truth to reach those in the school system while continuing to have a big heart for homeschoolers with Creation Quest.  Pat also founded Creation Quest and co-hosts and produces  The Creation Guys with filmmaker, Kyle Justice.

Although radio and media is his expertise since 16 years old, Pat Roy’s work with the scientists at ICR gave him Over 12 years of Creation Research inside the box with scientists like Dr. Gish, Dr. John Morris, Frank Sherwin, Dr. Ham, Dr. Hovind and multiple others.

A SIMPLE EXPERIMENT
Those who believe the earth is flat also believe photos from space of a spherical Earth have been faked, and the testimonies of astronauts who have seen Earth from space are lies.  Any evidence of a spherical Earth is regarded with strong suspicion.  But, here is an experiment anyone can perform with the help of trusted friends who live in far-off places.

1. Recruit a number of trusted friends who live in other states or countries to participate.
2. Find your friends' positions on Google Maps, and note the latitudes and longitudes of their locations.
3. Send your friends plans for making a simple astrolabe - a straight edge to site along, attached to an upside-down protractor with a length of string attached to the center of the protractor, and a small free-hanging weight attached the other end of the string.
4. At a pre-appointed time, simultaneously contact your friends via SKYPE, ZOOM, or other video-conferencing program.  
5. Ask all your friend to use their astrolabes to measure the angle of inclination to a heavenly body that all can see and readily identify - the North Star, the Moon, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Betelgeuse, etc. Ask each of them to use a magnetic compass to measure the direction to the same heavenly body, relative to North.
6. A) Using the data you have collected, explain the differences in measurements reported by your trusted friends as best you can in terms of a flat earth. 

         B) Using the data you have collected, explain the differences in measurements in terms of a spherical            earth.
